Overview
The 10W Solar Flood Light (Model 1339) is a mid-range outdoor solar lighting solution designed to illuminate larger areas with reliable, grid-independent brightness. Built around a 6V 8W solar panel and a 3.2V 8AH battery, the 1339 delivers 8–12 hours of continuous cool white illumination after a single day’s charging. Its IP66-rated enclosure makes it fully resistant to dust ingress and high-pressure water jets, enabling installation in exposed outdoor locations across all Indian climate zones. With a remote control included as standard, users can select from multiple operating modes — Auto, On/Off, timed (3H, 5H, 8H), Half light, and Full light — making this an intelligent, programmable outdoor lighting unit for parking lots, driveways, community pathways, farmhouses, and rural roads.
LED Performance & Light Output
The 10W LED module produces substantially higher lumen output compared to the 5W variant, making it suitable for wider and deeper coverage zones — driveways, open parking lots, community gardens, and side lanes in residential societies. The cool white light output is optimised for security and visibility, offering clarity of colour and detail that warm or yellow lights cannot match at equivalent wattages. Surface-mounted LED chips within the reflective housing ensure a wide, uniform beam spread rather than a concentrated hotspot, which is important when lighting walkways, open courtyards, or farm plots where even illumination across the area matters.
Battery – 3.2V 8AH Capacity & Backup
The 1339 is powered by a 3.2V 8AH battery, a step up from the 5W model, providing a backup window of 8–12 hours. The extended battery capacity is particularly relevant for locations in northern and eastern India where winter nights are long (up to 13–14 hours), and users need lighting that persists well past midnight. The battery supports deep-cycle charging without significant capacity degradation, which ensures consistent nightly performance across seasons. In Auto mode, the intelligent charge management system steps down brightness progressively through the night, maximising backup duration without any manual intervention.
Body Build & Weatherproofing
The Model 1339 carries an IP66 waterproof and dustproof rating — the same standard used in outdoor industrial and commercial luminaires. This exceeds the IP65 rating that is common among budget solar lights in India, offering a meaningfully higher level of protection against monsoon-level rainfall, garden irrigation splash, and the fine particulate dust common in semi-arid zones. The body dimensions of 40 × 30 × 15 CM reflect the increased panel and battery capacity while remaining compact enough for wall, pillar, or pole mounting in standard residential and light commercial settings.
Smart Controls & Operating Modes
The included remote control enables full operating flexibility. Auto mode provides intelligent brightness stepping — 100% for the first 20 minutes, 70% for 4.5 hours, and 30% for the remaining hours — automatically optimising battery use while keeping the area lit through the night. On/Off mode disables the light sensor, allowing the user to manually control the fixture. Timed modes (3H, 5H, 8H) activate the light for a fixed number of hours after dusk, then switch it off automatically — useful for applications like shop fronts, function areas, or construction sites that only need light for part of the night. Half and Full light modes allow brightness adjustment depending on the task.
Solar Panel & Charging Efficiency
The 6V 8W solar panel supplied with the 1339 has a higher power output than the 5W variant’s panel, enabling faster and more complete battery replenishment within a 6–8 hour charging window. The panel connects to the flood light housing via a dedicated cable, allowing independent positioning for maximum sun exposure. Across most of India’s solar-rich geography — from the Thar Desert belt and peninsular India to the central Deccan and coastal Maharashtra — daily solar insolation comfortably supports a full charge in 6–7 hours under clear skies. Even in partially overcast conditions typical of the pre-monsoon period, sufficient charge is typically accumulated to sustain at least 8 hours of operation in Auto mode.
Installation & Mounting
The 10W solar flood light requires no electrical wiring and can be installed by the end user without specialist tools or electrician involvement. The panel and light connect via a plug-and-socket cable, both units being wall or pillar mountable using the included hardware. The 40 × 30 × 15 CM body is practical for standard mounting heights on compound walls, gate pillars, or pole tops. Once installed, the light operates fully automatically — switching on at dusk and off at dawn — making it a zero-maintenance outdoor lighting solution for rural properties, highway-adjacent plots, gated communities, and off-grid farm installations where running mains cabling is impractical.
