How to install
- Measure the run and plan where the power point will be, then choose the matching length.
- Cut only at the marked 50 cm points using sharp scissors or a blade.
- Fit the 220V power connector at the start and seal the far end with an end cap.
- Fix the strip with mounting clips or an aluminium channel, keeping bends gentle.
- Switch on the mains and check the full run lights evenly before finishing.
Safety: this light runs on mains voltage. Switch off power before cutting or connecting, never cut the strip while it is plugged in, and use a qualified electrician for outdoor or permanent installations.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as a 50 meter LED strip light?
Yes. It is a 220V silicone LED strip, also called a neon profile light or neon flex. You can order it as a full 50 meter roll or in shorter 10, 20, 30 or 40 meter lengths.
Do I need a driver or adapter?
No. It runs directly on 220V AC mains power. You only need a compatible 220V power connector to connect it to the supply.
Can I use it outdoors in the rain?
Yes. The IP65 silicone body is rain and dust resistant, so it suits facades, balconies and gates. It is not designed to be submerged, so do not use it inside water features or pools.
Can I cut it to the size I need?
Yes, every 50 cm at the marked cut points. Cutting anywhere else will damage that section.
How much electricity does it use?
10 W per meter. A 20 meter run draws 200 W, so 6 hours of use a night is about 1.2 units of electricity. A full 50 meter run draws 500 W.
Is it available in cool white or neutral white?
This profile light is currently available in warm white (3000K) only.
