For covered parking, use a solar flood light with cable
Install the flood light inside the covered area and keep the solar panel in direct sunlight using the 2-3 metre cable between the panel and light. This is a cleaner fit for stilt parking than placing a street light head inside the shade.

How to choose solar street lights for society roads
Use these checks before your RWA finalises wattage, quantity and installation location.
Match wattage to pole height
Use 8-10 ft for compact parking bays, 12-16 ft for internal society roads, and 20-30 ft for main gates or wide roads. Bigger marketplace numbers such as 300W or 500W should be treated as LED power rating only, not actual operating wattage.
Covered parking needs split panel
For stilt or shaded parking, choose a split-panel solar light like Cloud Pro. The panel sits on the sunny terrace or shed roof while the light head stays inside the covered bay.
Spacing: how many lights per road
A practical planning rule is 2.5-3 times the mounting height. A 12 ft pole usually covers 30-36 ft spacing, so a 100 m road often needs around 9-11 lights.
Backup decides dusk-to-dawn performance
Choose LiFePO4 batteries, motion modes and 12-hour backup for reliable overnight operation. Larger society gates and project zones should use heavy-duty backup models.
